
Heinz Deckmann has been employed by the famed Stuart Moore Gallery for 20 years. He is acclaimed to be the "Best Stone-Setter in the Western US" by Moore. Deckmann is a very modest "Old-World" craftsman who has made various pieces of jewelry for European and Arabian royalty as well as for numerous celebrities such as Madonna, Heather Locklear, Norman Field, Jim Evert and Steve Young. He holds the title "Master Jeweler" from his native Hannau, the German city called "City of Precious Jewelry."
Heinz was 14 yrs. old when he started his apprenticeship as a diamond setter at Ernst Schoenfield. He attended Zeichen Akademie were he learned about Gold, Gemstones, Design, and jewelry-making. In 1964 he won the international Golden Luupe Award. Heinz has created a Tiara for platinum for the Royal family of England and jewelry for King Ibn of Saudi Arabia. Heinz worked for Thomas Long of Boston from 1967-1970, Otto Klien Jewelers in Hannau from 1970-1974. Then the Israel Government as a diamond setter for one year. Heinz now works at Towne Jewelers and is always available to create a Fabulous Masterpiece for you or repair your important jewlery pieces.
