Heinz Deckmann - Master Jeweler

Heinz Deckmann has been creating beautiful jewelry at Towne Jewelers for over 10 years. Heinz Deckmann is a modest "Old-World" craftsman who's list of jewelry clientele include European and Arabian royalty and many celebrities such as Madonna, Heather Locklear, Norman Field, Jim Evert and Steve Young. He holds the title "Master Jeweler" from his native Hannau, the German city called "City of Precious Jewelry."
Heinz was 14 yrs. old when he started his apprenticeship as a diamond setter in Germany. He attended Zeichen Academy were he learned about gold, gemstones, jewelry-making and design. In 1964 he won the "International Golden Loupe Award" for his outstanding craftsmanship. Heinz has created a Tiara in platinum for the Royal family of England and jewelry for King Ibn of Saudi Arabia. Heinz worked for Thomas Long of Boston from 1967-1970 and Otto Klien Jewelers in Hannau from 1970-1974. In 1974 the German Government sent Heiz to Israel to teach war veterans how to make jewelry. For 20 years thereafter Heinz handcrafted high end jewelry for the Stuart Moore Gallery in Newport Beach, prior to coming to Towne Jewelers.
This year Heinz is celebrating his 50th brilliant year as Master Jeweler/Diamond Setter.
